Welcome to the website of HarvestMoon Hollands, ARBA registered rabbitry located in Southwestern Manitoba, Canada. My name is Nicole Yanke and I've been breeding, showing and slightly obsessed with Holland Lops since 2005. With the support and patience of my wonderful family I operate a small rabbitry of approximately thirty-five holes. My goal is to produce quality Hollands with short thick bone, massive in appearance, in rarer colors. Blanket breeding, light line breeding and strict culling have been key in developing our herd. Though shows are far away and few, our herd has done very well earning Best of Breed Awards in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. Just this past September 2009 our homegrown buck Yankez Jonas received not one but two All Breed Best in Show Awards! This is a fantastic hobby. I have so enjoyed meeting other breeders and have been fortunate to purchase some excellent foundation stock. It has also been my pleasure to learn and show under some fantastic judges.

WHAT'S NEW... Well it's been a crazy busy summer so getting to my site has been tuff. Hopefully over the next little while I'll get thru things. Taking a bit of a break in the breeding department not by choice just busy...the new TRI girls are ready to go and I'm anxious to get them going! Took a bunny road trip beginning of July to Regina and met up with my buds Crystal and Leslie. Sent some buns their way and even though I'm trying to cut back I couldn't resist coming home with a couple...tris...and a frenchie...a broken orange frenchie! Gotta get their pics done. It was nice to get away and just be Nicole and hang with my friends. So my bunny goals now are to cut right back for the fall focusing mainly on the TRIs and the Otters which I just can't ignore...finally got some brokens...and maybe find a show this fall.
A Magpie TRI buck...who said breeding TRIs was easy :S
